Job Description: Vice President (IT and Systems)

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives.

  2. Oversee the management and operation of the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems.

  3. Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

  4. Identify and implement innovative technologies and solutions to improve operational efficiency and enhance business processes.

  5. Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of data and information systems through effective cybersecurity measures and risk management.

  6. Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide strategic guidance and support.

  7. Manage IT projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timely delivery of project milestones.

  8. Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance, data protection, and efficient use of technology resources.

  9. Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in IT and systems management.

  10. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.

 

Experience Required:

  1. Proven experience in a senior leadership role in IT and systems management, preferably as a Vice President or Director.

  2. Strong background in IT strategy development, infrastructure management, and systems implementation.

  3. Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT architectures, networks, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.

  4. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of IT professionals.

  5. Experience in managing IT projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and project delivery.

  6. In-depth understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.

  7. Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation.

  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and practical solutions.

  10. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

  11. Proven track record of successfully implementing IT strategies and driving digital transformation initiatives.
