Job Description: Vice President (Training and Education)

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the organization's training and education strategy to support the needs of employees, partners, and stakeholders.

  2. Lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance.

  3. Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and gaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

  4. Oversee the training and education team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure high-quality training delivery and program effectiveness.

  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, continuously improving content, delivery methods, and learning outcomes.

  6. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and education, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.

  7. Develop and maintain partnerships with external training providers, educational institutions, and industry associations to leverage their expertise and resources for training initiatives.

  8. Manage the training budget, resources, and logistics, optimizing costs and ensuring efficient utilization of training materials, tools, and technology.

  9. Collaborate with HR and department heads to identify and address performance gaps through targeted training interventions and developmental programs.

  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to training, education, and professional development.

 

Experience Required:

  1. Proven experience in a senior leadership role within training and education, such as Vice President of Training, Chief Learning Officer, or similar.

  2. Strong background in designing and delivering training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives, with a focus on adult learning principles and instructional design.

  3. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing training strategies, needs assessments, and competency frameworks to support organizational goals.

  4. Excellent knowledge of training methodologies, techniques, and best practices, with the ability to incorporate innovative approaches and technology-enabled learning solutions.

  5. Experience in managing training teams, including trainers, instructional designers, and training coordinators, with a track record of fostering a culture of learning and professional development.

  6. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms, with the ability to leverage technology for training delivery, tracking, and reporting.

  7. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners at all levels of the organization.

  8. Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives, budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.

  9. Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, or a related field. Relevant certifications in training and development are preferred.
